What You Will Do
- Draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements across multiple business units, including technology ‑ enabled and SaaS ‑ related offerings
- Serve as a practical legal advisor to business stakeholders, providing clear, timely guidance that supports commercial objectives and risk ‑ balanced decision ‑ making
- Improve and maintain contract templates, playbooks, and processes to enable greater efficiency and consistency across the region
- Support cross ‑ functional teams through training, documentation, and day ‑ to ‑ day legal guidance on contracting workflows and operational considerations
- Partner with internal stakeholders to address issues early, manage outside counsel on disputes when needed, and help the business navigate evolving regulatory expectations
- J.D. from an accredited law school and admission to at least one U.S. state bar, with ability to become licensed in Indiana within a reasonable time
- 3 years of relevant legal experience (law firm, in ‑ house, or a combination) with exposure to commercial contracting
- Experience handling all manners of complex business transactions including negotiating complex commercial agreements
- Prior in ‑ house experience supporting commercial or operational teams along with M&A activities and litigation
- Experience drafting or negotiating SaaS, software licensing, or other technology ‑ related agreements
- Ability to build collaborative relationships within a small legal team and across cross ‑ functional stakeholders
- Experience developing or improving legal processes, templates, or playbooks
