Title: Sr. Body Controls Module Design Release Engineer
Location: Novi, MI.
Responsibility:
Be responsible for the electrical hardware design of all body electronics modules, sensors, and actuators under your span of control. You will cover from clean sheet of paper through virtual development, testing/sign-off and manufacturing launch for OEM all-electric pick-up and rugged SUVs.

- Perform virtual and physical verification testing, including field testing.
- Participate in DFMEA, ISO 26262, Worst Case Circuit Analysis and any other engineering activities aimed at meeting the highest engineering standards for all the components under your responsibility.
- Ensure designs conform to safety standards and U.S. government regulations.
- Proactively stay attuned to consumer experience and propose system improvements accordingly.
- Contribute to the design of production facilities for OEM trucks & SUVs.
- Manage supplier resources efficiently to deliver components and systems that meet cost, timing, and quality targets.
Required:
- Bachelor's or master's degree in electrical engineering, or combined electrical/mechanical engineering, systems engineering, or a relevant field.
- 15 years of experience in body electrical and/or electromechanical areas and relevant automotive assignments, covering all phases of product development (design, test, and launch).
- Body control module (door module, lighting module, windows module, seating control module, overheads console module, sunroof/moonroof control module)
- Strong technical skills and expertise in body control systems, employing a six sigma approach to engineering design and problem-solving.
- Familiarity with computer-aided engineering (CAE) or direct experience in this field.
- Ability to build strong working relationships with individuals at all organizational levels.
