Backed by Dorell Fabrics, one of the largest fabric manufacturers and distributors in the U.S., we combine deep industry expertise with a fresh, evolving retail experience. This is not a typical retail leadership role. You will lead both front and back of house operations, work closely with creative professionals and clients, and play a key role in driving sales, customer experience, and store growth.
What You’ll Do
- Lead day-to-day store operations across front and back of house
- Manage, coach, and motivate the store team to ensure strong performance and accountability
- Work directly with interior designers, furniture designers, and creative professionals
- Deliver a high-touch, consultative customer experience
- Drive sales across in-stock inventory and custom or special order products
- Oversee complex custom sales that require coordination and follow-up
- Maintain a clean, organized, and visually compelling store environment
- Design and execute merchandising displays, including fabric presentations
- Oversee tagging, signage, and point of purchase materials
- Manage inventory levels and ensure accurate stock reporting
- Oversee order processing to ensure accuracy and timely fulfillment
- Track sales performance and report on store metrics
- Maintain strong communication with internal teams and customers
What We’re Looking For
- Strong retail management experience, ideally in a product-driven or design-oriented environment
- Proven ability to lead teams and drive sales growth
- Enjoying F2F client interactions
- Building meaningful and lasting client relationships
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Comfortable balancing operational and customer-facing responsibilities
- Ability to adapt and execute in a growing and evolving retail environment
- Hands-on mindset with willingness to be present on the floor

- Custom drapery, furniture and design experience greatly preferred but not required
- You have an eye for creative projects and enjoy working with clients to bring their ideas to life.
- You are detail-oriented, approachable, and bring positive energy to the team.
- You can lead an experienced team while earning trust and respect, and you are comfortable balancing creativity with structure and operations.
