District Custodial Services Supervisor

Commensurate with training, experience, and education.

DS Pay Scale

1. High school diploma required.
2. At least three years of experience in custodial services for educational facilitates.
3. Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the board may find appropriate and acceptable.

4. Management and personnel experience required.

    

Supervise custodial operations for Dorchester School District Two Facilities.

1. Ensure all custodial operations are in accordance with federal laws, state regulations, and district policies.
2. Establishes department's budgets and manages procurement procedures.
3. Collaborate with district personnel department in development of personnel policies for custodial department.
4. Collaborates with Director of personnel in various steps of progressive disciplinary actions with custodial personnel.
5. Screen, select and assign custodial personnel.
6. Evaluate all phases of custodial operations to identify needs and implement program changes in order to improve efficiency in accordance with current industry standards.
7. Collaborate with district personnel and vendors to implement and schedule annual in-service training for the custodial department.
8. Consult with and advise school officials and administrators regarding housekeeping and personnel issues at their facility.
9. Supervise and assist custodial managers dealing with personnel issues, coaching and monitoring personnel matters.

10. Monitor the progression of all on-line safety training to ensure that all employees meet due dates.

     

     

11. Collaborates with district procurement officer in the development of specifications and standards quality for purchasing, bids, and RFPs to ensure that they are administered in accordance with state regulations as well as district policies.
12. Research, test and purchase of equipment and supplies for the custodial department.
13. Establish, monitor, and direct all safety protocol to comply with state and federal (OSHA) safety standards.
14. Develop staff training program in proper use, care, and maintenance of all supplies and cleaning equipment.
15. Conduct monthly site visits to ensure that all Dorchester School District Two cleaning and sanitation protocols are properly implemented to provide a clean, safe, and pleasing environment for learning.
16. Regularly evaluates and documents the performance of custodial managers.
17. Conduct monthly managers meetings to provide proper training, communication, and information regarding custodial protocol.

18. Performs all other duties as assigned by the Director of Facility Services.
