SENIOR LANDMAN

Overview

Dorchester Minerals, L.P. is a publicly-traded limited partnership that commenced operations on January 31, 2003. Our partnership is based in Dallas, Texas, and is the owner of producing and non-producing mineral, royalty, overriding royalty, net profits, and leasehold interests in 28 states. We are currently looking for an oil and gas Landman with lease, title, and division order experience.

Job Description

·        Negotiate oil and gas leases and related agreements to secure favorable terms

·        Manage complex land assignments

·        Chain mineral and working interest title using public and private records

·        Maintain accurate records of land, contract and revenue data using specialized software

·        Calculate and verify complex divisions of interest for non-operated properties

·        Navigate and conduct research using commercial and regulatory websites (RRC, OCC, Enverus, etc.)

·        Prepare county and basin-wide analysis of ownership and lease status for management

·        Utilize Microsoft Office suite to produce spreadsheets, correspondence, and presentations

·        Assist with due diligence of acquisitions and divestitures as needed

·        Resolve accounting issues as needed

Education and qualifications

·        Minimum of 7 years of experience in oil and gas land work

·        Bachelor’s degree with a preference of Energy Commerce, Energy Management or other AAPL accredited program

·        Proficient in using the full Microsoft Office suite, with an emphasis on Excel

·        RPL/CPL designation preferred

·        Permian Basin experience preferred

·        Mineral management experience is a plus

·        Experience utilizing DocVue and LandWorks is a plus

·        Division order knowledge and experience is a plus
