Chief Architect - Digital Banking

We’re seeking a Chief Architect to define and govern the technology ecosystem behind a next-generation digital banking and stablecoin initiative.

This role will unify modern banking, blockchain, and tokenized asset infrastructure into a single, secure, and scalable platform, connecting multiple best-in-class partners under a unified vision.

• Define the overarching architectural vision and standards connecting multiple technology and banking partners into a cohesive, secure landscape.
• Govern integration patterns and API frameworks to ensure interoperability, scalability, and data integrity across all platforms.
• Drive the inclusion of partner-delivered capabilities across blockchain, stablecoins, tokenized deposits, and traditional banking rails (ACH, cards, deposit accounts).
• Establish and enforce standards for security, cryptography, scalability, observability, and reliability, leveraging cloud infrastructure (AWS / Azure / GCP) and Kubernetes orchestration.
• Translate strategic business objectives into actionable architecture and ensure all partner solutions align technically and commercially.
• Build trust and alignment across internal and external teams. Navigate complex partner relationships, driving architectural decisions without direct authority.
• Create frameworks for documentation, compliance, and lifecycle management across a multi-vendor ecosystem.

• 10 years of experience in enterprise or solution architecture, including at least 5 years in financial services or retail banking.
• Proven background in API-driven integration, microservices, and cloud-native architecture.
• Hands-on expertise with AWS, Azure, or GCP, containerization (Docker/Kubernetes), and enterprise-grade security and encryption standards.
• Strong understanding of payments, deposits, or digital banking systems and their integration with third-party platforms.
• Experience designing or governing multi-partner ecosystems where data and services span multiple organizations.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence senior technical and business leaders.

• Prior experience with blockchain frameworks such as Ethereum or Hyperledger Besu.
• Familiarity with stablecoins, tokenized deposits, or digital asset custody.
• Experience working within regulated financial environments (e.g., OCC, FDIC, or equivalent) and understanding of compliance and audit frameworks.
• Background leading or governing distributed international teams in complex integration programs.
• A collaborative, pragmatic, and diplomatic leadership style — someone who leads with credibility, humor, and perspective in high-stakes environments.
