Role Description
This is a part time, on-site role, with the potential to transition to full time, for a Medical Assistant/Patient Care Coordinator located in Sweetwater, FL. The role involves a combination of administrative and clinical tasks, including scheduling appointments, managing patient communications, coordinating care plans, assisting healthcare providers, and maintaining patient records. The Medical Assistant/Patient Care Coordinator will work closely with patients to ensure a seamless and supportive care experience, with an emphasis on efficiency and professionalism.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Appointment Scheduling and expertise in maintaining professional Phone Etiquette
- Experience in Care Coordination and ensuring seamless patient transitions across services
- Solid understanding of Medical Terminology to support effective communication and documentation
- Experience with direct Patient Care in clinical settings, demonstrating empathy and attention to detail
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to engage with patients and a multidisciplinary team
- Knowledge of insurance processes and workflows is a plus
- High school diploma or equivalent is required; additional relevant certifications are advantageous
