Job Title: Crude Oil Driver (Class A CDL) – Permian Basin

Location: Permian Basin (Midland, TX area – home every night)
Job Type: Full-time
Schedule: 5 days on / 2 days off (home every night; flexible shifts in a 24/7 operation)
Compensation: Competitive commission pay base on mileage and loads with quarterly safety bonuses and monthly barrel bonus.

Key Responsibilities
- Safely load, transport, and unload crude oil using Class A tanker trucks from well sites to terminals or facilities
- Perform thorough pre- and post-trip inspections in compliance with DOT regulations
- Handle hoses, pumps, valves, and all loading/unloading procedures safely
- Maintain accurate logs, electronic records (ELD), and documentation
- Navigate oilfield lease roads and Permian Basin routes professionally
- Follow all company safety protocols, FMCSA/DOT rules, and hazardous materials guidelines
- Communicate clearly with dispatch, field staff, and terminal personnel
Required Qualifications
- Current valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Tanker (N) and Hazmat (X endorsement or equivalent combination)
- Must be 25 years of age or older
- Minimum 2 years verifiable commercial motor vehicle driving experience
- Minimum 6 months verifiable tanker experience
- Minimum 10 years verifiable employment history
- Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) with no Major Convictions in the past 5 years, including:
- Driving while intoxicated (DWI) or under the influence (DUI)
- Leaving the scene of an accident
- Reckless driving violations
- Homicide or assault through use of a motor vehicle
- Attempting to elude a police officer
- Must successfully pass a DOT physical examination (including DOT drug and alcohol screen)
- Must pass a company road test and demonstrate proficiency operating all equipment/trailers used by Dorado Transportation
- Ability to pass background check and meet all insurance carrier standards
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous crude oil hauling experience in the Permian Basin (we are willing to train qualified drivers new to crude hauling)
- Familiarity with oilfield operations, lease roads, and production sites
- Clean drug test history (no positive tests on record)
