Position: Senior Commercial Painting Estimator
Location: Palm Beach, Broward, Dade
Employment Type: Full-Time
Role Summary
The Senior Commercial Painting Estimator will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the estimating process for large-scale commercial painting projects. This individual will analyze project documents, prepare accurate and competitive bids, develop strong relationships with general contractors and clients, and provide leadership within the preconstruction and estimating team.
Key Responsibilities
Review project plans, specifications, and addenda to prepare detailed quantity takeoffs and cost estimates.
Develop complete, accurate, and competitive bids for commercial painting projects ranging from mid-size to multi-million-dollar scopes.
Collaborate with project managers, operations, and executive leadership to develop strategies that align with project goals.
Establish and maintain strong working relationships with general contractors, subcontractors, and vendors.
Identify potential risks, value-engineering opportunities, and alternative solutions to enhance project success.
Mentor and support junior estimators in the department.
Attend pre-bid meetings, site visits, and client presentations as required.
Qualifications
Minimum 10 years of experience in commercial painting estimating, with at least 2 years in a senior or lead role.
In-depth knowledge of painting systems, coatings, materials, and industry best practices.
Proven experience estimating large-scale commercial projects ($1M ).
Proficiency in estimating software and digital takeoff tools onscreen preffered.
Strong analytical skills with a keen attention to detail and accuracy.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
Ability to manage multiple estimates simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
