Guitar Teacher

Doorstep Music Lessons, a leading provider of in-home music education in the Las Vegas area, is seeking passionate and nurturing guitar teachers to join our team. As a guitar teacher, you will have the opportunity to share your love for music with students of all ages and skill levels, providing personalized lessons in the comfort of their own homes. Our teachers are some of the top educators, performers and musicians in the Las Vegas area.

All musicians are encouraged to apply, especially:

• Students who are currently candidates for bachelor's degrees or higher in music performance
• Musicians from historically underrepresented backgrounds (women, minorities)
• Teachers who are bilingual (Spanish and English)

Responsibilities:

• Provide one-on-one music lessons to students in their homes
• Create individualized lesson plans based on student's goals, interests, and skill level
• Instruct students on proper playing techniques, music theory, and performance skills
• Foster a positive and supportive learning environment that encourages creativity and musical growth
• Maintain regular communication with students and their families to track progress and address any concerns
• Prepare students for recitals and other performance opportunities

Requirements:

• Proficiency in one or more musical instruments (based on student demand)
• Reliable transportation to travel to students' homes for lessons
• Strong passion for music and a desire to inspire others
• Ability to adapt teaching methods to accommodate students of varying ages and skill levels
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Teaching experience is a plus
• Experience working with children is a plus
• Experience teaching in students' homes is a plus
• Bachelor's degree or higher in music preferred, but not required
• Students completing their bachelor's degree in music are also encouraged to apply
