What are the responsibilities and job description for the Door Machine Operator position at Doors West, Inc.?
**MUST HAVE PRIOR DOOR MACHINE OPERATING EXPERIENCE**
Primary Responsibilities
- Run residential unit doors through a door machine to bore and route hinge placements for interior/exterior doors attaching jambs and hinges.
- Read tickets to determine job specifications.
- Maintain door machine area.
- Turn in paperwork with completion dates to the Shop Manager.
- Complete assigned training.
- Complete the Door Machine Maintenance Checklist and perform timely quality checks.
Qualifications
- Must be able to lift at least 100 pounds.
- Must be able to read a tape measure.
- Must have at least 2 years of experience operating a door machine.
- Must be able to read and speak English.
- Must have reliable transportation to and from work.
- Must have a functioning cell phone with internet capability.
Competencies
- General understanding of setting up and calibrating machines for different specifications.
- Proficient in using hand and power tools.
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations.
- Ability to read and understand paperwork.
Compensation
- $25.00-$30.00/hour depending on experience. Pay is negotiable for the right candidate.
