Summary: The Administrative Assistant’s responsibilities include providing administrative support to ensure efficient operation of the departments within DCU. The Administrative Assistant will support managers and employees through a variety of tasks related to organization and communication. Strong verbal and written communication skills, exceptional organizational skills, and impeccable attention to detail are required for this position.
Duties/Responsibilities
- Answer, screen & transfer incoming calls quickly, friendly & efficiently.
- Multi-departmental clerical support including reporting, scanning, filing and data entry.
- Heavy Outlook Calendar usage.
- Able to navigate the internet efficiently.
- Maintain office security by following safety procedures & controlling access via reception desk.
- Assist with company employee celebrations and fundraisers.
- Assist with travel arrangements and accommodations.
- Reconcile expense reports.
- Liaise with executive and co-administrative assistants to handle requests and queries from senior managers.
- Assist in reception, when necessary.
- Other administrative duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Proven experience as an Administrative Assistant
- Excellent verbal & written communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects independently.
- MS (Excel, Word, Calendar) Office proficiency
- Experience with office equipment (printers, copiers, postage meters etc.).
- Excellent interpersonal & customer service skills.
- Excellent organizational skills & attention to detail.
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Ability to function well in a high-paced & at times stressful environment.

Education & Experience:
High School diploma or equivalent
Two or more years administrative assistance
Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk & working on a computer.
Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
