Position Summary
Seeking a motivated and dependable Entry-Level Plumber's Helper to assist our plumbing, sewer, drain, and excavation technicians with residential and commercial service work. This position is ideal for someone looking to start a career in the plumbing industry and gain hands-on experience while learning from experienced professionals.
Key Responsibilities
The primary responsibilities for the Plumbers Helper role include:
- Assist plumbers with sewer, water main, and excavation projects.
- Load, unload, transport, and organize tools, materials, and equipment.
- Prepare work areas and protect customer property.
- Perform basic excavation, trenching, and job site cleanup.
- Safely operate hand and power tools under supervision.
- Maintain clean, safe, and organized job sites and company vehicles.
- Follow company safety policies and OSHA standards.
- Complete required paperwork and support team operations as needed.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old and authorized to work in the United States.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Construction, labor, plumbing, or mechanical experience is a plus but not required.
- Valid NYS driver's license with an acceptable driving record preferred.
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and willingness to learn.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate professionally.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds and perform physically demanding work in various weather conditions.
- OSHA 10 certification preferred but not required.
