What are the responsibilities and job description for the Cashier for Donut Shop, Farmer's Markets, and Satellite Locations position at Donut Petit?
Donut Petit is an award-winning donut shop located in the heart of Alameda's West End District. We are located at 711 Santa Clara Avenue in Alameda. We currently have booths at markets/shopping centers in Alameda, Oakland, San Francisco, San Ramon, and Pleasanton.
We are looking for a part-time cashier/server to join our team for mornings/early afternoons Sunday - Saturday, both in-store and at our satellite markets and locations. Shifts will begin and end at our store in Alameda. Transportation to markets is provided in company vehicles. Flexibility and willingness to go where staff is needed is a must. Pay is base hourly plus TIPS.
The ideal candidate is attentive, reliable and motivated and can handle a fast-paced environment. Candidates should feel comfortable providing friendly and helpful customer-service and working well with other team members. MUST HAVE CURRENT DRIVER'S LICENSE AND CLEAN DRIVING RECORD.
Requirements: MUST BE AVAILABLE mornings sometimes as early as 6am. Must have current, valid driver's license and clean driving record. Must have current (or be willing to acquire) Food Handler's certificate.
Responsibilities
- Greeting customers upon arrival
- Helping to answer questions about the menu
- Serving customers donuts, pastries, coffee and beverages
- Maintaining a clean and tidy work area
- Accurately processing all cash, credit, and electronic payments
- Working with the team to clean and arrange eating, service, and dining spaces
- Ensuring that necessary supplies are well-stocked in advance
- Providing exceptional customer service
Qualifications
- Working experience as a cashier or in customer service is helpful, training will be provided
- Basic mathematical skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to listen and communicate effectively with customers, team members, and management
- Must have a current (or willing to acquire) Food Handler's Certificate
Education
- High School or equivalent
Experience
- Food-serve experience preferred
- Familiarity with POS computers and software
Licensing Requirements:
- Current Food Handler’s certification
- Priority given to candidates with valid driver's license and clean driving record
- Must complete a Sexual Harassment Prevention Training course
Pay: From $17.50 per hour
