Job Title: Legal Assistant

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Employment Status: Full-Time

Reports To: Director of Company Operations

Summary: To assist the legal department in both its short term and long term goals by performing the following duties.

Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Review past, current, and future legal documents, establishing if they are compliant with rules and regulations.
  • Assist with development of legal processes and organization.
  • Assist store employees by informing them of pertinent legal knowledge.
  • Maintain and assist in connecting with current or future legal firms retained by the company.
  • Track compliance issues committed by stores.
  • Assist and answer legal service inquiries.
  • Contribute to new legal initiatives.
  • Send out legal emails to update employees on legal changes.
  • Assist stores with legal questions resulting from actions or lack thereof.
  • Review and contribute ideas for new legal development
  • Provide general support to the Director of Company Operation and Chief Executive Officer.
  • Other tasks as assigned

Education:

Must possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science, Business Legal Studies, or any general Business Degree that has a sub focus in the Legal Field.

Language Ability:

Ability to read, analyze, and clearly interpret legal information, as well as general business operations. Ability to clearly and effectively communicate/present information and respond to questions from corporate headquarters, corporate management team, customers, vendors, attorneys, and the general public.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to define problems and determine solutions.
