Job Overview
We are seeking Wednesday to Sunday dedicated and detail-oriented Restaurant/Bakery Closing Shift team members. This role is ideal for individuals with a passion for food service, strong organizational skills, and experience in the food industry. The position offers an opportunity to work in organic baking, maintaining high standards of food safety, sanitation, and customer service. The successful candidate will be responsible serving customers, making beverages, cleaning, cash handling, and ensuring all closing procedures are completed accurately and efficiently.
Duties
- Prepare and finish beverages according to established recipes and quality standards, serving bakery products
- Operate POS system for cash handling and sales processing
- Manage cashier responsibilities including processing transactions, giving correct change, and balancing registers at shift end
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen and dining areas in compliance with health regulations
- Assist with food safety practices, including proper food handling, storage, and sanitation procedures
- Restock supplies as needed to ensure readiness for the next day’s operation
- Follow all safety protocols related to kitchen equipment and food handling
- Support team members in various tasks to ensure efficient shift completion
Requirements
- Prior experience in food service or quick service & fast food restaurants preferred; restaurant or bakery experience is a plus
- Knowledge of POS systems is advantageous
- Strong time management skills with the ability to multitask effectively during busy periods, cleaning when you get a lull. Must clock breaks effectively
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, professional demeanor
- Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math, and quick calculations
- Understanding of food safety standards and sanitation practices in a restaurant & bakery setting
- availability on weekends is a plus
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift light loads, and perform cleaning duties as required
