Experienced Collector

About the Role:

The Experienced Collector plays a crucial role in ensuring the financial health of our wholesale trade operations by managing and optimizing the collection of outstanding debts. This position requires a proactive approach to communicate with clients, negotiate payment terms, and resolve disputes effectively. The ultimate goal is to minimize overdue accounts while maintaining positive relationships with our customers. The Experienced Collector will analyze account histories and payment patterns to develop tailored collection strategies. By achieving collection targets, this role directly contributes to the company's cash flow and overall profitability.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Proven experience in collections or accounts receivable, preferably in the wholesale trade industry.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in finance, business administration, or a related field.
• Experience with accounting software and customer relationship management (CRM) systems.
• Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations regarding debt collection.

Responsibilities:

• Contact clients via phone or email to collect outstanding payments.
• Negotiate payment plans and terms with clients to facilitate timely payments.
• Maintain accurate records of all communications and transactions in the company’s database.
• Analyze client accounts to identify patterns and develop effective collection strategies.
• Collaborate with the sales and customer service teams to resolve disputes and enhance customer satisfaction.
