Cocktail/Restaurant Server
Compensation: Salary Range $10.75-$10.75 per hour (plus tips)
Position Summary
Our Cocktail/Restaurant Servers are dedicated to providing exceptional service by taking orders, serving food and drinks, and accommodating special requests. This role ensures guests have an enjoyable bar and dining experience through attentiveness, courtesy, and efficiency. Cocktail Servers must be well-versed in the menu to answer questions and make recommendations. Responsibilities include setting up and clearing tables, handling payments, and maintaining cleanliness in the dining area. Collaboration with kitchen staff is essential to ensure timely and accurate delivery of orders. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a friendly demeanor, and the ability to thrive under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- This position is primarily for the AM shift but requires flexibility to work other shifts as needed.
- Previous Bar/Restaurant experience required.
Essential Functions
- Answer questions about food and drinks, including ingredients, preparation, and accompanying items.
- Greet newly seated guests warmly and within the time limit specified by outlet standards.
- Take drink orders upon guest greeting, deliver beverages, and offer appetizers.
- Promote menu items, such as appetizers, entrees, and desserts.
- Input orders into the POS system.
- Have knowledge of hotel services.
- Follow alcohol awareness procedures to prevent guest intoxication.
- Attend to guests’ needs when delivering food and check back to ensure satisfaction.
- Garnish plates as specified by menu standards.
- Maintain tables by checking drink levels, removing clutter, and providing extra napkins if necessary.
- Total bill and present check upon removal of the last plate or upon request.
- Maintain accurate currency exchange.
- Keep station clean.
- Keep immediate supervisor promptly and fully aware of all problems or unusual matters of significance.
- Maintain free coffee and tea throughout the shift.
- Perform assigned station side work.
- Follow all food sanitation regulations, including personal hygiene, food safety, and area cleanliness. Report any infractions to supervisor or manager immediately.
- Follow cash handling and check control procedures, including coupons or complimentary item service.
Additional Responsibilities
- Adhere to all work rules, procedures, and policies established by the hotel, including, but not limited to, those contained in the employee handbook.
- The hotel operates 7 days a week, 24 hours a day. Department schedules must accommodate fluctuating business demands and employees may be asked to work shifts other than those they prefer or normally work.
Education and Experience
- Previous restaurant experience.

- Ability to stand and walk for a long period of time.
