As our company continues to grow, we're looking for an experienced Payroll Assistant to join our Wilmington team and help ensure every employee is paid accurately, on time, and with exceptional attention to detail. What You'll Do

As our Payroll Assistant you'll play a critical role in ensuring payroll is processed accurately while maintaining compliance with payroll regulations and providing excellent internal support to our team.Your responsibilities will include:

  • Processing biweekly payroll accurately and on time using ADP
  • Calculate and process employee commissions and bonuses accurately as part of each payroll cycle.
  • Reviewing and verifying employee time records before payroll processing
  • Maintaining employee payroll records, including new hires, terminations, pay changes, deductions, and direct deposits
  • Processing garnishments, child support orders, tax levies, and other required payroll deductions
  • Ensuring compliance with all federal, state, and local payroll laws and company policies
  • Reconciling payroll reports and assisting with payroll audits
  • Preparing payroll-related reports for management and accounting
  • Working closely with Accounting and leadership to ensure payroll accuracy
  • Responding to employee payroll questions in a professional, timely, and helpful manner
  • Maintaining strict confidentiality of employee information and payroll records

Who We're Looking For

We're looking for someone who is dependable, highly organized, trustworthy, and takes pride in getting the details right.You may be a great fit if you have:

  • At least 3 years of payroll administration experience
  • Experience processing payroll through ADP (required)
  • Strong knowledge of payroll regulations, taxes, and compliance requirements
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • The ability to manage multiple priorities and consistently meet deadlines
  • High professionalism and the ability to maintain confidentiality
  • A positive attitude and willingness to support a growing team
