Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive diagnostics on automotive electrical systems, engine performance, and powertrain components using advanced automotive diagnostics tools and schematics.
- Conduct repairs and maintenance on various vehicle systems, including diesel engines, powertrains, and heavy-duty components, ensuring compliance with manufacturer specifications.
- Interpret automotive wiring diagrams accurately to troubleshoot electrical issues and implement effective repair solutions.
- Repair and replace ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) components, ensuring proper calibration and functionality.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and mechanical repair techniques to complete repairs efficiently while adhering to safety protocols.
- Conduct wheel alignments, vehicle maintenance inspections, and auto body repairs as needed to uphold quality standards.
- Handle heavy lifting tasks safely during repairs or parts replacement, demonstrating manual handling expertise in a fast-paced environment.
- Maintain detailed service records, complete shift reports, and ensure all work complies with dealership policies and industry regulations.
Skills
- Proven dealership experience with a strong understanding of automotive service procedures.
- Extensive knowledge of automotive electrical systems, schematics interpretation, and wiring diagram analysis.
- Skilled in diagnosing complex automotive issues using state-of-the-art diagnostic equipment.
- Proficient in repairing diesel engines, powertrains, and heavy-duty vehicle components.
- Familiarity with ADAS technology calibration and integration processes.
- Mechanical knowledge complemented by hands-on experience with auto body repair, welding, and maintenance tasks.
- Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other mechanical repair tools safely and effectively.
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on delivering professional support throughout the repair process.
- Experience working with GM vehicles or similar brands is a plus but not mandatory.
