Key Responsibilities:
- Requirements Gathering & Analysis:
- Collaborate with stakeholders to elicit, analyze, and document business requirements.
- Facilitate workshops, interviews, and surveys to understand complex utility processes and identify pain points.
- Solution Development:
- Work closely with developers to design customized .NET solutions that meet business needs.
- Ensure solutions are scalable, efficient, and aligned with organizational goals.
- SQL Expertise:
- Develop, optimize, and troubleshoot complex SQL queries to analyze data and support decision-making.
- Collaborate with the data team to ensure seamless integration between applications and databases.
- Utilities Sector Expertise:
- Leverage knowledge of mass market utility operations, including billing, metering, and customer service.
- Stay up-to-date with regulatory and industry changes to anticipate business impacts.
- Project Management & Communication:
- Serve as a bridge between business and technical teams, ensuring clear and effective communication.
- Contribute to project planning, timelines, and deliverables.
- Provide regular updates to stakeholders on project progress and risks.
- Quality Assurance & Documentation:
- Support testing phases by developing test cases, reviewing test results, and ensuring defects are resolved.
- Maintain detailed documentation for business requirements, processes, and system changes.
Qualifications:
- Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Experience:
- 5 years as a Business Analyst, preferably in the utilities sector.
- Proven experience with SQL query development and optimization.
- Familiarity with .NET frameworks and collaborative application development.
- Skills & Competencies:
- Strong understanding of utility processes such as billing, metering, and customer engagement.
- Advanced SQL skills, including writing queries and analyzing large datasets.
- Familiarity with .NET application design principles and development workflows.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience with Agile methodologies is a plus.
