Digital Hardware Designer

Support a Fortune 500 Aero-Defense Company as a Digital Hardware Designer.

Responsible for all electrical engineering tasks related to the design, analysis, test and certification of aerospace Head-Up Displays, Helmet Mounted Displays, and Avionics Vision Systems in both commercial and military fields.

This position is primarily for a digital hardware designer with an emphasis on design, implementation, and testing of complex digital circuit cards with high-speed data links.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Design high-reliability electronic circuits for commercial and military avionics

• Define and capture requirements for new hardware designs using enterprise tools such as Jama

• Perform preliminary design activities such as hardware architecture and design trade-studies

• Perform detailed design activities such as circuit analysis and schematic generation

• Perform technical oversight and coordination of circuit card layout

• Perform functional test and integration of circuit card prototypes

• Design and build integration support equipment

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of prior relevant experience OR

• Advanced Degree in a related field and 3 years of prior relevant experience

• Must be a U.S. Person / Permanent Resident “Green Card” holder

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with Siemens EDA Xpedition Design and Layout

• Digital board design experience with multi-gigabit serial links
