MUST HAVE AN ACTIVE SECRET CLEARANCE. Support a Fortune 500 Aero-Defense Company as an Aircraft Structural Engineer
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in an Engineering discipline, Mathematics, or Physics and a minimum of 9 years of prior related experience. Graduate Degree or equivalent with a minimum of 7 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 13 years of prior related experience.
Comprehensive knowledge of aircraft mass properties, fixed-wing weight and balance analysis, and weight control for aircraft modification programs.
Working knowledge using CAD models and engineering drawings to support mass properties analysis.
Must be able to travel to and from the flight line and work in aircraft hangar environments, including boarding and exiting aircraft when required.
DoD Secret security clearance walking in the door.
Preferred Additional Skills:
Experience with Automated Weight and Balance System (AWBS) software or comparable mass properties tools.
Understanding of FAA and military weight and balance reporting requirements and airworthiness documentation.
Experience with aircraft weighing, inventories, and maintaining certified weight records.
Advanced skill in managing large data sets and automating calculations in Microsoft Excel.
