Donation Attendant

Responsibilities:

· Greet and welcome individuals making donations.

· Provide excellent customer service by addressing donor inquiries and concerns.

· Comply with all safe work practices, policies, and processes.

· Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient and accurate processing of donations.

· Distinguish unsellable items and graciously decline them.

· Express gratitude to donors and offer a tax receipt.

· Sort and pack donations.

· Maintain records of donations

· Utilize appropriate methods to accommodate and secure merchandise for transportation.

· Maintain cleanliness and organization of the premises.

· Keep trash and boxes in assigned locations.

· Work effectively as part of a team.

· Test donated items to ensure functionality.

· Able to lift heavy items.

· Open and close the building in a timely manner.

Skills:

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

· Attention to detail and strong organizational skills

Qualifications:

· Less than High School education or up to one month of related experience.

· Excellent customer service skills.

· Effective communication skills.

· Friendly and approachable personality.

· Trustworthy and responsible

· Ability to continuously stand, bend, stoop, and lift heavy items.

Working Conditions: The job requires frequent standing, walking, sitting, use of hands to fingers on tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climbing; balance; stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to weather conditions, which may include wet or humid conditions and outdoor weather conditions, with no heat or air conditioning. The noise level in the work environment is moderate.

Schedule:

5 Days per week, weekends and occasionally overtime as needed.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $13.50 per hour
