In this vital role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining large commercial trucks and heavy equipment to ensure optimal performance, safety, and compliance with industry standards. Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough diagnostics using diagnostics tools and schematics to identify issues with diesel engines, transmissions, air brakes, hydraulics, suspension systems, and other heavy equipment components.
- Perform repairs and maintenance on Class 8 trucks, including brake repair, engine overhaul, transmission servicing, air brake systems, shocks & struts, wheel alignments, and HVAC systems.
- Fabricate parts or modify existing components using power tools, welding equipment, and hand tools to meet specific repair needs or customizations.
- Read and interpret schematics for complex systems such as hydraulics, electrical wiring diagrams, and mechanical assemblies to ensure precise repairs.
- Maintain detailed service records of all repairs performed while adhering to safety protocols and industry regulations.
Qualifications
- Proven mechanic experience with heavy-duty trucks.
- Heavy Duty Class Truck Experience Preferred not required
- Experience with Cat, Cummins, Detroit and Allison a Plus but not required.
- Strong mechanical knowledge of diesel engines, transmissions, air brake systems, hydraulics, suspension components, HVAC systems, and electrical diagnostics.
- Familiarity with schematics for electrical systems and hydraulic diagrams for troubleshooting complex issues.
- Experience working with farm machinery or industrial equipment is a plus.

Pay: $24.87 - $41.00 per hour
