The Shop Manager will be responsible for the overall management of the shop, ensuring the smooth running of the business. The ideal candidate will be a reliable employee who can assist in the running of the day to day operations. Pay will be based on experience.
Job Requirements:
- Must have previous management experience.
- Must be able to multitask and prioritize.
- Must have strong organizational skills.
- Must be able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Must have a positive attitude and be able to communicate effectively.
- Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Must have knowledge of computer programs, such as Excel, Word, etc.
- Must have knowledge of diesel mechanics
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and train staff and run daily operations.
- Oversee all equipment in the shop , schedule equipment for repairs, monitor the progress of repairs and create invoices when repairs are completed.
- Communicate with customers about scheduling their repairs and updating them on what repairs need to be made.
- Using computer software to track what equipment is at the shop and what stage of repairs it is in.
- Check in equipment when it is brought to the shop and begin work orders for it when necessary.
- Supervise mechanics and ensure they are safely working on the jobs assigned to them.
- Answer any questions customers call the service department for.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
