Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Garage Door Installer/Technician to join our team.
In this role, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of commercial and residential garage doors and operators. Your expertise will ensure that each customer’s garage door system operates smoothly, safely, and efficiently. This position is specifically for the experienced technician/installer.
Pay is proportional to experience.
Duties
- Install, adjust, and repair garage doors and openers with precision and attention to safety standards in residential, commercial and industrial settings
- Use hand tools, power tools
- Read technical drawings to accurately assemble and troubleshoot garage door systems
- Perform heavy lifting of door components and equipment to ensure proper installation and maintenance. Unloading delivery trucks as required.
- Build down headers and frame openings
- Diagnose mechanical issues using mechanical knowledge and electrical experience to identify solutions quickly
- Commercial walk through door repairs and gate operator repair is a plus.
Requirements
- Minimum of 3-5 years of garage door repair/installation experience
- Must have good driving record
- Must be able to pass a drug test
- Must me dependable and have reliable transportation
- Must be able to work independently
- Must have good customer handling skills
- Strong knowledge of schematics, and mechanical systems related to garage doors
- Experience in installation and repair of rolling steel doors and commercial operators
- Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and fabrication techniques
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining proper safety protocols
- Familiarity with electrical systems related to garage door openers or fixtures is preferred
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail and quality workmanship
Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
