We are currently hiring for a second Apartment Maintenance Technician for the brand new Calaveras Quarters Apartments located on March Lane in Stockton, CA. This is an entry level position.
Calaveras Quarters is a former motel repurposed into 68 1-bedroom apartments offering permanent, supportive housing to families and transitional-age-youth experiencing or at-risk of homelessness. Several Social Service Agencies will be involved. We are looking for a maintenance tech to maintain the building and ensure that all maintenance operations are handled. This community will be in the spotlight, therefore we need a highly skilled maintenance tech well versed in property management, who is an excellent communicator.
We are looking for applicants with the following skills:
- Must have 1 years of Apartment Maintenance Experience
- Experience Turning Vacant Apartments to be Rent Ready
- Appliance Repair Experience
- Plumbing and Electrical repair experience
- Drywall, Painting, Repairing Holes in walls
- Ability to Work as a Team and Meet Deadlines
- Ability to Follow Company Policies and Procedures
- Ability to Communicate Problems and Offer Solutions
- Ability to set priorities and complete assigned tasks
- Ability to be compassionate and understanding to resident situations and outbursts. Be empathetic and sympathetic.
- Experience with 3rd party Agency Inspections: Housing Authority Unit and Property Inspections
Daily Duties & Responsibilities Include:
- Completing Work Orders Efficiently
- Maintaining the Property Curb Appeal daily
- Turning Vacant Units per procedure
- Appliance, Electrical and Plumbing Repairs
- Drywall & Painting Repairs
- Conducting Unit Inspections
- Working as a Team
- Preparing for Property Inspections
- Offering Excellent Customer Service
- Following all company policies & procedures, fair housing laws, etc.
- Walking the property regularly
- Respond to After-Hours maintenance emergencies
- Other duties assigned by the Supervisor
Compensation Details:
- Full Time, 40 hours per week, Monday – Friday 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- Respond to After-Hours emergencies as needed
- Hourly Pay Rate = $20.00
