The location in Rothschild, (Wisconsin, United States), is seeking talent to fill the position of Production Supervisor, Paper. This job is full-time permanent.
The Production Supervisor coordinates day, week and monthly production activities, coordinates with maintenance planning and execution to ensure a safe and optimum production environment. This position reports to the Paper Superintendent and is a leader of and resource for the production team(s).
Key goals include: building and maintaining a safe work environment, meeting production objectives based on business strategy, collaborative problem solving to support objectives.
Primary responsibilities:
- Supports the daily operations of assigned Paper Mill areas while adhering to, but not limited to policies and objectives in Safety, Customer Satisfaction, Environmental, Process reliability, Cost and Labor relations.
- Coordinate across functional departments (U&E, Pulp/Wood, Converting, and Maintenance) to successfully achieve mill goals.
- Coordinate with maintenance in the Paper Mill to improve Safety, Quality, and Process reliability.
- Coordinate and manage suppliers and consumable materials.
- Work with our customers, both internal and external, to achieve customer satisfaction.
- Provide education in technical and non-technical areas and oversee the safe and effective training of operators.
- Develop a strategic mindset to secure the future of the Paper Mill.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Pulp & Paper, Engineering, Business, Environmental preferred, or equivalent educational and experience in relevant field.
- 3 years of leadership experience is required.
- Relevant experience in Operations or Maintenance functions preferred.
- Strong communication, troubleshooting, analysis, and mechanical aptitude skills.
- Working knowledge/experience utilizing MS applications and other production related applications.
- Desire and ability to work flexible hours to cover outages, weeknight call, and rotating weekend coverage duties.
- Demonstrated experience in promoting a safe working environment.
