At Domino’s, our Assistant Managers are the backbone of our stores — true leaders who take ownership and run each shift like it’s their own business. You’ll be responsible for everything that happens during your shift: cost control, inventory management, cash control, and exceptional customer service. You’ll lead by example, follow all company policies and procedures 100% of the time, and expect the same from your team.
You’ll ensure that every pizza is made perfectly, every customer leaves happy, and every team member feels supported. The Assistant Manager works closely with the Store Manager to drive sales, maintain profitability, and uphold Domino’s high standards for safety, quality, and service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and motivate your team to deliver outstanding customer experiences
- Oversee operations during your shift, ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and safety
- Manage inventory, food preparation, and labor costs to meet performance goals.
- Handle cash and deposits with integrity and accuracy.
- Maintain store cleanliness, sanitation, and image standards.
- Execute local marketing efforts and contribute to store profitability.
- Assist with hiring, training, and developing team members.
- Ensure adherence to schedules and proper staffing levels for all shifts.
- Be dependable, punctual, and professional at all times.
- Represent Domino’s with pride — on and off the clock.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
- Must be at least 18 years old (some states require 16 for certain roles; must meet state and federal labor law requirements).
- Valid driver’s license with a safe driving record (where applicable).
- Reliable transportation to and from work.
- Ability to work weekends (Friday, Saturday, Sunday availability required).
- Previous restaurant or leadership experience preferred but not required — we’ll train the right person!
General Job Duties:
- Operate all store equipment safely and efficiently
- Stock ingredients and supplies from delivery area to storage, work area, and walk-in cooler
- Prepare food items to Domino’s standards
- Receive and process phone and online orders accurately
- Take inventory and complete associated paperwork
- Clean and sanitize equipment, work surfaces, and the facility daily
Essential Skills & Abilities
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Ability to comprehend and execute written and verbal instructions
- Basic math skills — able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide quickly and accurately (calculator allowed)
- Ability to make correct change and handle money responsibly
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity for food preparation
- Ability to operate a computer keyboard or touchscreen POS system quickly and accurately
- A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and desire to grow into higher leadership roles
