The Community Staff Accountant will perform all accounting and bookkeeping functions for assigned Dominion Management Group properties. Prepare monthly financial statements and financial reports for external investors.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
ACCOUNTS PAYABLE
- Act as a backup for Accounts Payable
- Review and enter invoices into Yardi
- Verify proper account classification
FINANCIALS
- Financial Statement preparation
- Review P&L for accruals and trends
- Complete month end closing and financial reporting for properties in an accurate and timely manner
- Perform monthly close and all balance sheet reconciliations and analyses to ensure financial statement fidelity
- Prepare monthly reports to be delivered to external investors and internal stakeholders
CASH MANAGEMENT
- Help to record bank transfers/receipts into Yardi
- Reconcile all bank accounts monthly
BUDGET
- Assist in providing inputs for annual budgets
- Assist in budget review process and implementation at year end
GENERAL
- Ensure proper controls over company assets
- Filing of F&E taxes, sales/use tax, personal property tax returns and annual corporate filing
- Maintain confidentiality of all pertinent information
- Perform other duties and projects as assigned by Controller
- Maintain regular and predictable attendance

- Models and spearheads the Vision, Mission, and Values of Dominion.
- Be hospitable, cooperative, tactful and effective when communicating and interacting with team members, vendors, visitors, volunteers, and the general public
