Role Description: The Part-time Science Teacher – Secondary will teach middle and high school science courses in an on-site setting located in Front Royal, VA. This educator will plan and deliver engaging, standards-aligned lessons in disciplines such as general science, physics, and related fields, integrating the school’s classical and neuroscience-informed approach. Daily responsibilities include preparing instructional materials, assessing student progress, providing feedback, maintaining accurate records, and collaborating with colleagues and administrators to support student success. The teacher will manage classroom behavior, foster a positive and inclusive learning environment, communicate regularly with families or guardians as appropriate, and participate in departmental or school meetings as needed. This is a part-time, on-site role that requires consistent presence on campus during scheduled school hours.
Qualifications
- Strong background in Science Education with the ability to teach secondary-level courses.
- Content knowledge in Physics and related scientific disciplines appropriate for middle and high school students.
- Proficiency in Mathematics sufficient to support science instruction and integrated STEM activities.
- Qualified Teacher with appropriate teaching certification or licensure, and demonstrated classroom experience.
- Effective Lesson Planning skills, including designing assessments, labs, and differentiated activities.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Science Education, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, or a related field.
- Ability to create an inclusive, respectful classroom aligned with the school’s Christian mission and values.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and classroom management
