Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Clamp Forklift Operator to join our warehouse team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in warehouse distribution and materials handling, with a strong focus on operating ROLL clamp trucks and other heavy equipment. This role is crucial for ensuring efficient loading, unloading, and order picking processes within our facility.
Duties
- Operate roll clamp forklifts to load and unload materials from trucks and containers.
- Perform order picking tasks using RF scanners to ensure accurate inventory management.
- Assist in shipping and receiving operations, ensuring all materials are handled safely and efficiently.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to OSHA safety standards.
- Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to optimize workflow and improve operational efficiency.
- Conduct routine inspections of equipment, reporting any mechanical issues as necessary.
- Utilize pallet jacks and other materials handling equipment as needed for heavy lifting tasks.
- Support the warehouse management system by accurately documenting inventory movements.
Requirements
- Proven experience in warehouse operations, including order picking and shipping & receiving.
- Familiarity with roll clamp trucks, forklifts, and other heavy equipment operation.
- Strong mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot equipment issues effectively.
- Experience with RF scanners and warehouse management systems is preferred.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting tasks safely, adhering to all safety protocols.
- Previous experience as a warehouse supervisor is a plus but not required.
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations related to warehouse operations is essential.
