Dominion Energy, one of the nation’s largest producers of energy, is seeking an energetic, highly motivated, and innovative student with a strong interest in Information Technology within a large corporate environment. This summer of 2026 internship is specifically designed for a student with an anticipated graduation date of May 2027.
Dominion is looking for an intern with interest in learning and contributing to the work performed within our Enterprise Data platform team.
The Data Scientist Intern will support the team by assisting in data analysis, model development, and data strategy implementation. This role is designed to provide hands-on experience in data science and analytics, contributing to the overall success of our data initiatives.
Primary Duties
Must be a current student in a Bachelor's Degree program.
Coursework and a strong interest in the field of Data Science strongly preferred.
Must have a graduation date in the Spring of 2027.

- Work with data scientists, programmers and analysts to understand our business’s goals and problems and help us develop and implement machine learning to solve those problems.
- Take ownership over transforming your ideas into reality – you'll prototype new solutions, write high-quality, professional code, and be responsible for documenting your work and results.
- Assist in data collection, cleaning, and preprocessing.
- Create and maintain dashboards and reports.
- Collaborate with team members to identify and solve data-related challenges.
- Be a member of the team by participating in team planning meetings, standups, reading groups, and code reviews.
Must be a current student in a Bachelor's Degree program.
Coursework and a strong interest in the field of Data Science strongly preferred.
Must have a graduation date in the Spring of 2027.

- Must be a current student in a Bachelor's Degree program majoring in compuer science or a related degree
- Must have a graduation date in the Spring of 2027
- Must have a GPA of 3.0 or above
- 3.5 and above preferred
