POSITION TITLE: Graduate Assistant – Project Coordinator for Finance and Data Science Center
DEPARTMENT: Brennan School of Business
REPORTS TO: Professor of Finance & Business Analytics
JOB STATUS: Part-time, Graduate Assistant
DATE AVAILABLE: August 15, 2025
HOURLY RATE:$16-18hour for 15 hours a week during Fall 2025 and Spring 2026, plus up to 6 credit hours of tuition remission each semester.
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Graduate Assistant (GA) supports the operations of the Financial Trading, Business Analytics, and Data Science Center, located in Crown 2020, by working closely with the faculty lead to coordinate events, support data collection, and assist in developing key performance indicators (KPIs). This position is ideal for a graduate student interested in finance, investments, analytics, or business technology—prior experience or coursework in finance or business analytics is welcome but not required.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist in planning and executing Center events and student engagement activities.
- Collect, organize, and analyze data to support KPI development and Center reporting.
- Create and maintain digital forms and surveys (such as, Google Forms, Qualtrics) to gather stakeholder feedback.
- Assist in designing presentations and reports using technology (e.g., Excel, Power Point) to communicate Center outcomes.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiarity with Canva, web design (Wix) and social media.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with faculty and students.
- Enrollment in a Dominican University graduate program is required.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s degree is required.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Prior experience supporting events, workshops, or student programs.
- Experience with digital marketing and student outreach.
- Experience with data collection and organization.
Salary : $16 - $18
