POSITION SUMMARY
We are seeking a skilled and hands-on Site Foreman to oversee daily field activities on our data center construction project in Madison, North Carolina. The Foreman plays a key role in ensuring crews work efficiently, safely, and in compliance with project plans and quality standards. This position focuses on supervising trades, coordinating daily work activities, and supporting the Superintendent in meeting project schedules and milestones.
The ideal candidate will have strong experience in large-scale industrial or commercial construction, preferably in MEP-intensive or mission-critical environments such as data centers. This role requires excellent organizational skills, a proactive safety mindset, and the ability to manage multiple work fronts in a fast-paced EPC setting.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Supervision & Coordination
- Lead and direct trade crews and subcontractors on daily site activities.
- Ensure work is executed in accordance with drawings, specifications, schedules, and safety requirements.
- Assist with work layout, sequencing, and coordination to maximize productivity.
- Support the Superintendent in resolving site issues, RFIs, and field changes in real time.
- Supervise labor and ensure proper crew utilization.
Scheduling & Reporting
- Track daily progress and report updates to the Superintendent.
- Ensure materials, tools, and equipment are available for upcoming work.
- Coordinate deliveries, site access, and logistics with suppliers and subcontractors.
Health & Safety
- Enforce company, OSHA, and project-specific safety policies at all times.
- Conduct daily toolbox talks and ensure proper PPE usage.
- Identify, report, and immediately correct unsafe conditions or practices.
Quality Control
- Inspect ongoing work to ensure compliance with project quality standards.
- Assist with mock-ups, first installations, and quality inspections.
- Support punch list completion and close-out activities.
Team Leadership
- Promote teamwork, accountability, and clear communication on site.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to apprentices and junior workers.
- Act as the primary point of contact for trades and laborers regarding daily tasks and expectations.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education & Experience
- Journeyman-level background in a construction trade such as carpentry, electrical, mechanical, or similar.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in the trade, with at least 2 years in a foreman or supervisory role.
- Experience on data centers, mission-critical facilities, industrial plants, or MEP-heavy projects is strongly preferred.
- Prior experience in EPC or design-build project environments is an asset.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong understanding of construction methods, safety regulations, and quality standards.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
- Proficiency with basic site documentation, reporting, and field coordination tools.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Certifications (Preferred)
- OSHA 30 (or willingness to obtain).
- First Aid / CPR.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to work on active construction sites.
