Versatile is a wood products manufacturing company supplying to the store fixture, furniture, and architectural millwork industries. Come join the Versatile team where " We build it Better" Assembly Supervisor Reports to : Business Unit Manager Focus : to oversee all operations within the Assembly department ensuring Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost. Our frontline Supervisors also create a positive work environment through communication and a culture of winning. An ability to embrace change and to propel change forward is critical to this position. Core responsibilities : 1. Coach and assist all team members with problem solving and personnel issues. 2. Ensure all team members follow all safety policies and procedures. 3. Foster a customer focused, results oriented and high performing environment 4. Ensure all quality standards are met. 5. Communicate and be responsible for manufacturing key metrics, including safety, quality, delivery and cost. 6. Observe daily production to ensure shipping requirements are met through operator communication and facilitating productivity improvements. 7. Excellent communication skills with peers and operational support staff. 8. Drive team suggestions and implementation of ideas to increase efficiency, resulting in cost reductions 9. Complete annual performance reviews for all direct report employees, outlining positive and negative performance, and documenting a plan of action based on employee needs both positive or improvements needed 10. Provide consistent feedback to employees regarding job task performance and accomplishment of goals. 11. Ability to read blueprints and interpret engineered specifications 12. Maintain department tools, fixtures, etc. 13. Maintain inventory of component hardware, etc. 14. Maintain all department customer products.
