Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Permit Processor, with experience processing swimming pool, spa and pergola permits, to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be the vital link ensuring that all permits related to the swimming pool project are processed efficiently and accurately with all cities and counties. Your expertise will help facilitate smooth project approvals, maintain regulatory compliance, and support our commitment to safety and legal adherence.
Duties
- Review and interpret technical drawings, construction plans, and zoning maps to determine permit requirements.
- Prepare comprehensive permit applications, reports, and documentation in accordance with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Coordinate with local government agencies to facilitate permit approval processes for construction projects.
- Maintain detailed records of permit submissions, approvals, amendments, and compliance reports.
- Monitor ongoing projects for adherence to building codes, zoning ordinances, and local building regulations; update permits as needed.
- Provide exceptional customer service by assisting our internal teams with permit inquiries and status updates.
- Interpret technical drawings and construction documents to verify compliance with safety standards and regulatory requirements.
- Prepare clear reports on permit statuses, regulatory reporting obligations, and compliance issues for management review.
- Stay informed about changes in construction regulations, and public permitting procedures to ensure ongoing compliance.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in swimming pool construction project coordination or permit processing within a regulatory environment.
- Strong knowledge of swimming pool standards, construction regulations, building code analysis, zoning regulations, and local ordinances.
- Excellent report writing skills with the ability to prepare detailed documentation for city and county agencies.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and construction plans accurately.
- Experience working with city and county agencies.
- Exceptional organizational skills coupled with administrative experience managing multiple permit applications simultaneously.
- Strong communication skills to provide outstanding customer service to stakeholders at various levels of project development.
