Role Overview

As a Massage Therapist, you play an essential role in delivering the Westin wellness experience. Through skilled, intuitive touch and personalized care, you help guests restore balance, reduce stress, and reconnect with their sense of well-being.

This role blends technical expertise with presence and empathy, ensuring every guest interaction feels calm, professional, and deeply restorative. You will contribute to a serene spa environment that reflects the Westin promise of renewal and vitality.

Core Responsibilities

Delivering Restorative Wellness Experiences

• Provide professional massage therapy services tailored to individual guest needs and preferences
• Conduct thorough guest consultations to assess goals, health considerations, and desired outcomes
• Customize treatments to support relaxation, recovery, and overall well-being
• Maintain a calming, professional presence that enhances the guest experience

Upholding Spa & Brand Standards

• Adhere to all Westin brand standards, spa protocols, and treatment guidelines
• Maintain treatment rooms, linens, and equipment to ensure cleanliness, safety, and comfort
• Follow proper sanitation, hygiene, and safety procedures at all times
• Represent the spa with professionalism, warmth, and attention to detail

Guest Engagement & Service Excellence

• Create a welcoming and supportive environment from arrival through departure
• Educate guests on services, enhancements, and wellness recommendations when appropriate
• Handle guest feedback with care, empathy, and a solution-oriented mindset
• Support a culture of trust, comfort, and exceptional service

Collaboration & Operational Support

• Work collaboratively with spa leadership and team members to support daily operations
• Maintain accurate treatment notes and service documentation as required
• Support scheduling, product knowledge, and retail initiatives as assigned
• Assist with opening, closing, and side duties to ensure smooth spa operations

Additional Responsibilities

• Maintain required licensure and certifications in accordance with state regulations
• Attend training sessions, team meetings, and brand education programs
• Support emergency procedures and safety protocols
• Perform other duties as assigned to support the spa and guest experience

Candidate Profile

Education, Certification & Experience

• Current and valid state massage therapy license required
• Completion of an accredited massage therapy program
• Previous spa or hospitality experience preferred

Skills & Abilities

• Strong knowledge of massage modalities and body mechanics
• Ability to personalize treatments based on guest needs
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Professional demeanor with a genuine passion for wellness
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and guest trust

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive motions
• Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 25 lbs.
• Manual dexterity and physical stamina to perform massage services
• Predominantly indoor, spa-based work environment
