Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Line Cook based at Dolphin Bay Resort & Spa in Pismo Beach, CA. The Line Cook will be responsible for preparing ingredients, cooking menu items to specification, maintaining food safety standards, and managing inventory. The role requires collaboration with the kitchen team to ensure smooth service, as well as an ability to maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen space. The Line Cook will play a pivotal role in maintaining the high culinary standards consistently delivered by the resort's dining experience.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in food preparation, cooking techniques, and recipe execution
- Ability to maintain food safety and sanitation standards in a high-paced kitchen environment
- Strong knife skills and knowledge of kitchen equipment operation
- Experience with plating and presentation to meet luxury restaurant standards
- Excellent teamwork, communication, and time management skills
- Flexibility with working various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Experience in a fast-paced or fine dining environment preferred
- Culinary education or equivalent experience is a plus
Requirements
- Able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
- Minimum 2 years line cook experience.
- Some upscale restaurant experience required.
- Serve-safe certification card
- Two forms of identification.
- Required to work weekends and holidays.
Compensation after 90 day period includes PTO and Sick-pay. Access to medical, dental, and eye care plans, 401k, employee meals.
