CHEF DE CUISINE — DOLORES DELUXE


Dolores Deluxe is looking for a driven, creative Chef de Cuisine to help lead our growing culinary program. This role is based primarily out of our commissary kitchen in Bernal Heights, with occasional offsite events, catering, and support across future locations.


This is a hands-on leadership role for someone excited by food, systems, team building, and helping shape the future of a growing hospitality company.


COMPENSATION BENEFITS


• Salary: $80,000–$85,000 DOE

GROWTH OPPORTUNITY


This isn't a static kitchen role. As Dolores Deluxe continues expanding, we expect this position to evolve into increased responsibility, increased compensation, and a path toward Corporate Chef / Culinary Director opportunities.


POSITION DETAILS


• Full-time salaried position

• Average expectation: ~50 hours/week

• Morning-focused schedule (starts as early as 6:00am)

• Weekend availability required

• Work directly with ownership on strategy, operations, creative direction, and growth initiatives

• Lead day-to-day kitchen operations, inventory, prep systems, ordering, and team execution

• Participate in occasional catering, offsite events, and community activations


REQUIREMENTS


• Minimum 3 years fine dining experience

• Minimum 1 year managing a culinary team

• Pastry experience required

• Active ServSafe Certification

• Personal vehicle clean driving record required

• Self-starter mentality with strong work ethic and follow-through

• Tremendous integrity and ability to operate with a high degree of autonomy

• Ability to hold yourself and your team to high standards

• Strong leadership, organization, and communication skills

• Honest, reliable, and highly motivated

• Genuine passion for food and hospitality


ADDITIONAL PERKS


• Gas stipend and temporary parking support available as needed


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS


Ability to stand and move throughout shifts, lift up to 50 lbs independently (75 lbs with assistance), work on varied surfaces and stairs, and perform the physical duties required in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
