Dolly's Florist has been a proud part of the Miami community for over 75 years. We are looking for a sharp, dependable, and friendly team member to join our shop. Above all, we are seeking a competent person with strong common sense, a positive attitude, and a proactive mindset to deliver great service, keep daily operations running smoothly, and help us continue growing our floral business.
Responsibilities
- Customer Engagement & Sales: Greet walk-in clients warmly and answer incoming phone calls, helping customers select or customize the perfect floral arrangements, potted plants, and gifts for all occasions (sympathy, celebrations, everyday arrangements).
- Order Processing & POS: Efficiently operate the Point of Sale (POS) system to process cash, credit, and gift transactions, taking down accurate details for custom phone and online orders.
- Floral Processing & Cooler Care: Assist floral designers with basic flower prep—unboxing shipments, trimming/conditioning fresh stems, replacing water, and keeping the display cooler and showcase arrangements fresh and inviting.
- Showroom Merchandising: Maintain a clean, organized, and aesthetically pleasing sales floor, ensuring vases, greeting cards, plant care accessories, and retail merchandise are properly stocked and displayed.
- Delivery Coordination: Assist with organizing completed floral arrangements for dispatch, verifying delivery details with drivers, and tracking orders to ensure timely local deliveries.
- Customer Service: Handle customer inquiries via phone communication promptly and professionally
Requirements
- Customer Focus: A calm, friendly, and welcoming presence with a genuine passion for interacting with and helping people.
- Language Skills: Fluent in English; bilingual proficiency in Spanish is strongly preferred.
- Tech Readiness: Comfortable using basic computer systems and Point of Sale (POS) software (full on-the-job training provided).
- Work Ethic & Reliability: Dependable, punctual, and highly detail-oriented when handling customer requests and custom orders.
- Experience: Prior experience in retail, hospitality, or customer service is a plus, but not required.
