Join our family-led daycare business as a Daycare Assistant, We are looking for 2 different part time assistants 20 hours per week. The AM SHIFT is 7:30-11:30 AM and the PM SHIFT is 11:00-3:30 PM.
In this role, you will support in supervising children, engaging activities, and ensuring their well-being at all times. Responsibilities
- Assist with supervising children during playtime, meals, naps, and learning activities to ensure safety and engagement.
- Support classroom management by helping organize activities that promote social, emotional, and cognitive development.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning.
- Follow all safety protocols including pediatric first aid and CPR procedures to respond effectively in emergencies.
- Support special education needs by implementing individualized plans and adapting activities accordingly.
- Observe children’s behavior and developmental milestones to assist lead teachers in tracking progress and identifying needs.
Experience
- Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, or childcare settings is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and experience with infant care, toddler care, and preschool-aged children.
- Familiarity with classroom management techniques and behavior management strategies.
- Certification in first aid and CPR (or willingness to obtain upon hire) is essential for ensuring child safety.
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities or special education needs is a valuable asset.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with parents, staff, and children from diverse backgrounds.
- Previous roles such as babysitting or nannying that involved caregiving or working with young children are considered relevant experience.
