What are the responsibilities and job description for the Cleaner position at Dollar Tree?
The Distribution Center Housekeeping Associate performs deep cleaning activities for the building , Cafeteria, and grounds to maintain sanitization standards. Safe operation in accordance with Company policies is of prime importance.
Position Requirements:
- No written warnings or documented performance issues in the last 6 months
- Excellent attendance
- Ability to lift up to 70 lbs. repetitively
- Have or able to obtain Lift Operator certification
- Forklift, Picker Certification
Essential Functions
- Complies with all safety, security, compliance, and quality standards and procedures established by the Company and regulatory authorities.
- Performs routine and non-routine cleaning duties throughout the building to include all surfaces inside and outside of the distribution center
- Removal of trash, cardboard, debris and pallets.
- Notifies managers concerning the need for minor or major repairs to building and/or equipment.
- Follows procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment in order to prevent damage to floors and fixtures Must be willing to moves cabinet, boxes, furniture, crates and equipment to clean areas, either manually or by using hand trucks.
- Requisitions and replenishes supplies and equipment needed for cleaning and sanitization duties.
- Operate floor scrubbing equipment, cardboard baler and maintain all stations containing janitorial equipment.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
