General Summary:
Processes paperwork and signs-in drivers for all deliveries. Updates daily reports. Accounts for trailers (loaded inbound). Reviews and verifies proper handling of Receiving Checker paperwork. Updates computer system.
Principal Duties & Responsibilities:
Interacts with Drivers for deliveries to ensure Driver is assigned to appropriate receiving door. Verifies Driver’s paperwork through review of signature, time dropped and enters information in the drop log and updates the computer system. Processes back haul paperwork through verification of paperwork with Transportation, runs receiving documents and updates the drop logs and computer system. Analyzes and updates daily reports and distributes as needed. Reviews reports and information from Transportation to locate loaded inbound drop trailers. Processes Receiving Checker paperwork, ensuring all information and notations are completed before sending to Inventory Control. Updates FDS Mainframe of current day’s “No Shows” and notifies appropriate personnel. Prepares for next day’s deliveries by creating door board. Checks loads and the daily UPS and FedEx deliveries. Completes the daily PIT checklist to ensure equipment is working properly and reports any defects to management and/or maintenance. Operates PIT equipment in a safe manner. Follows set safety procedures and guidelines to maximize personal safety. Maintains an organized work area and promotes a safe working environment with the Receiving department. Follows all Company policies and procedures. All other duties as assigned.
