What are the responsibilities and job description for the Facilities Maintenance Technician position at Dollar Loan Center Wisconsin Llc?
Position Summary: This position will be part of Dollar Loan Center's facilities and maintenance team. The employee will need to be an energetic and service focused maintenance professional who has experience with general property maintenance such as: electrical, HVAC, plumbing, painting/repair, construction etc. Priorities can change quickly, and this individual must adapt, reassess, and quickly solve issues as they arise. Individual needs to perform maintenance on existing locations to provide for a safe clean work environment and must follow a set schedule provided by the managers to complete routine visits to Wisconsin region Dollar Loan Center store locations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

New store construction:
- Assist in ongoing construction of new locations.
- Will be part of a team to ensure all ongoing construction is compliance with current ADA building standards.
- Ensure that the opening of new locations goes seamlessly with the assistance of all facilities and maintenance employees.
- Be available to the Facilities Manager or Management team upon request.
- Keep detailed logs of all procedures used for fixing a problem to update the internal help desk ticket. This will help prevent unnecessary down time and repeating the same thing repeatedly.
- Respond to service requests regarding air-conditioning systems, general electrical, general plumbing, water heaters, carpentry, painting, information technology, security systems, and other required maintenance items.
- Understand the proper use of equipment, chemicals, and the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Ensure that unsafe conditions are corrected in a timely manner.
- Maintain and manage all equipment in store and warehouse
- Forklift certified. Must be available on call, upon request to respond and assist in any emergency’s that arise.
Requirements for Education and/or Experience:
- High School Diploma/GED or equivalent experience
- Must have 2 years demonstrated successful experience in all aspects of building maintenance not limited to but including: construction, electrical, HVAC, painting/wall repair, plumbing etc.
- Must have a clean driving record and be able to travel as needed to complete various facility projects.
Specialized Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
- Must have excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Candidate will be resourceful and can get the job done on time.
- Prefer candidates who can readily use e-mail and (for Reno and Utah locations) possess an understanding of computer systems (hardware and software) including networks and system backup execution.
- Must be able to work independently with little or no supervision.
- OSHA Certifications a plus.
