What You’ll Do:

• Support the end‑to‑end flow of apparel merchandise from vendor → distribution center → store
• Enter, maintain, and audit SKU, UPC, and vendor data to ensure accuracy across systems
• Build and maintain Excel‑based reports, trackers, and analyses to support merchant decision‑making
• Partner with vendors on production details, timelines, and issue resolution
• Serve as a key liaison for stores and distribution centers to troubleshoot product challenges
• Organize and manage product samples, including artwork, packaging, and approval processes
• Assist with planogram setup, labeling, photography prep, and merchandising materials
• Support multiple initiatives in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven merchandising environment

What We’re Looking For:

• Outstanding organizational skills with strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and comfort working in data‑driven environments
• Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining quality and accuracy
• Excellent time‑management skills, including the ability to reprioritize as business needs change
• Comfort initiating direct communication, including phone calls and follow‑ups
• Ability to work independently, managing tasks end‑to‑end without micromanagement
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, including professional interaction with vendors and internal partners
• A collaborative, service‑oriented mindset with the ability to work cross‑functionally
• Strong interest in merchandising with aspirations to grow into a Buyer or Merchant career path

Ideal Background & Skills:

This role is ideal for candidates excited to build foundational merchandising skills in an apparel environment. Strong candidates may come from apparel or fashion retail, e‑commerce/DTC, wholesale, specialty or department store settings, or consumer goods environments.

Successful Merchandise Assistants bring:

• Experience working with data, spreadsheets, or reports, particularly in Excel
• Exposure to product, inventory, operations, or store support processes
• Comfort with detail‑oriented work, accuracy, and follow‑through
• Strong organizational habits and the ability to track information and manage files
• Experience communicating with internal teams, vendors, or store partners
• Curiosity about how product moves from vendor to store, and a desire to learn the merchandising lifecycle

Educational backgrounds in Fashion Merchandising, Fashion Business, Retail Management, Business, Marketing, Supply Chain, or related fields are a plus, but not required. Candidates with transferable skills, strong organization, and a clear interest in apparel merchandising are strongly encouraged to apply.
