Job Summary
The Dole Food Company, Inc. is seeking a skilled Quality Assurance Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that all food quality processes support the company's compliance with food safety standards. This includes performing quality checks, verifying equipment accuracy, maintaining reports and system log entries, and completing food safety checks to meet all critical control points.
Responsibilities
You will also be responsible for placing and removing 'Hold' statuses as required for raw, in-process, and finished goods. Additionally, you will work independently and with limited supervision, maintain regular and acceptable attendance, follow directions, interact well with co-workers, understand and follow posted work rules/procedures, and be flexible to work any shift as workload demands. Previous experience in a food processing facility is required, as well as good oral communication skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. You must be able to lift up to 10 pounds unassisted up to one-third of the workday and 6 pounds overhead as job demands. Constant standing on a concrete floor, reaching, bending, stooping, and repetitive hand movements may be required. Moving machinery, including conveyor and forklifts, will be present in the immediate area. Ability to work overtime as needed and some weekends are required. A High School Diploma or GED is also required.
