Layered Cakerie is a well-established and popular, full service bakery offering an extensive lineup of whole cakes, pastries, and baked goods in our retail store. We offer custom decorated cakes, pastries, cupcakes, and dessert bars for all special occasions.
We are seeking a talented person to prepare our showcases in the morning and ice cakes throughout the day.
Requirements:
- minimum 6 months PROFESSIONAL cake decorating experience
- do not apply if you do not have professional decorating experience
- must be able to PROFICIENTLY ice one cake every 3-5 minutes
- ability to work in a fast paced environment
- have a strong eye for details
- possess excellent piping skills to create visual effects
- ability to multi task with strong attention to detail
- organized and efficient in fulfilling orders
- creative and logical problem-solving skills
- ability to work with whipped cream and buttercream
- able to follow decorating guidelines
- excellent time management skills
Duties:
- review and fulfill orders based upon order sheets
- create custom colors using whipped cream and buttercream
- maintain an organized, functional and clean workspace
- utilize time effectively to accomplish all orders
- decorate pastries, cakes, cupcakes, etc.
- maintain stock of pastry showcases with consistency
- communicate with staff and team members to ensure efficient and accurate order fulfillment
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
