Summary:
Wakefield Public Schools is seeking a dedicated and compassionate RBT to join the STRIVE Program. STRIVE is a program serving students with Autism through highly individualized, evidence-based instruction rooted in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). The STRIVE Program is supported by a BCBA, a lead special education teacher, and a team of support staff who collaborate closely to implement high-quality instruction using the ACE ABA Software System developed by the New England Center for Children (NECC). The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong commitment to student growth, teamwork, and inclusive practices.
Responsibilities:
- Provide one-on-one or small group support to students, including implementing discrete trials
- Assist in creating, implementing, and monitoring progress of individualized programming (including facilitating social skills groups)
- Assist in delivering direct behavior-analytic services, implementing behavior plans, and collecting and graphing data
- Assist in the development of IEPs
- Continuously monitor student’s response to treatment through data collection methods
- Implement behavioral procedures for acquisition of replacement skills and reduction of problematic behaviors
- Support students with various ADLs (including toileting), when needed
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school staff to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment
- Perform other related duties, as required
Work Year: 190 days total (180 school days 10 days). There is an opportunity to work the Extended School Year Program in the summer as well, if you choose to do so.
Work Day: 7.5 hours Monday - Friday. Schedule is consistent with the district calendar.
Compensation: competitive rate per hour commensurate with experience
